Hello, does anybody know if the MSI B85-G43 gaming motherboards sound card supports the astro a40, this is the headset that i really want and want to make sure that it is supported

I'll be the first to say that if you aren't gaming on consoles as well as PC, don't get the A40s. Way overpriced for quality of both the mic and headset.

 

Now that we got that out of the way, I don't see why it wouldn't be able to take the A40s. But I'm no expert on the subject matter, so don't take my word for it 100%.

 

You probably would've gotten more replies if you put this is the Motherboard or Audio board, and gave it a slightly more informative title. :P

The motherboard doesn't have an optical port so you won't be able to use the mixamp.  However if you mean just the headset then it'll work fine.
