Check to make sure the memory is seated properly, and make sure there isn't anything caught between the motherboard and the tray. almost sounds like it's shorting somewhere (which I have seen with having an extra standoff or something wedged in behind.

hi, i recently decided to clean out my computer from dust it has been over a year and a half before since the last time i cleaned it. i always remember to ground myself before taking anything apart. so i do it get all my components out clean them install new thermal paste to everything (cpu, north bridge, and my graphics card). i haven't ever changed the thermal compound. so when i finish i put everything back together. and when i come to turn it on i dont get a post but a click every time i press the power button. i investigate and find out that that clicking is from the psu's fan. it spins for  1/16 of a seconds then it stops.
