i have 240gb ssd and 2tb hdd. can someone here suggest me on how can i partition my data. i have list of what kind of data im having.

 

1. os

2. application (ms office, vc++, itunes and etc.)

3. games (steam, mmo, and etc.)

4. music

5. video

6. programming data

7. other data.

I'd recommend you to put the OS, applications, programs and (big) files you need very often onto the SSD. It's up to you whether you like to have separate partitions for music, video, games etc. Personally I have separate partitions for photo's, videos and music because I found that an easy way to organize my stuff (I got lots of music, photo's and video's).

ur 240 gigs will be ur boot drive+ the files ..etc etc that u will need to open quickly, u can put it in that ssd so that it'l start faster then that 2 terabyte one which will be for your other programmes!
