Specs:

  • i5 4690k @ 3.5ghz (Which i plan to overclock once i have found the solution to the problem)
  • evga geforce gtx 760
  • 8gb Ram
  • corsair 600w psu
  • 1 tb hard drive
  • msi z87-g43 mobo
  • h100i water cooler

I just built the computer above and it booted quick and windows loaded easily, however almost everything crashes like chrome, steam, games ect. Why is it doing this? I know the cpu isnt overheating as corsair link tells me it runs at 40°C on load and 30 °c when idle. I have also updated all drivers.

Thank you for any help!

they crash in multiple ways:

  • it just freezes and then crashes to desktop (games)
  • message pops up saying ran out of memory (games)
  • freezes then says ......... is not responding ( google chrome/steam/driver software)
