That's a really old cpu among some dated parts in general.

What's the system being used for? Why a sound card and such crappy speakers?

This pc will be used for gaming,

A dvd media player is unnecessary. MediaPlayerClassic comes free bundled with CCCP: http://www.cccp-project.net/

Put the Hyperborea in the front for intake.

As for speaker recommendations, I'd suggest heading towards the Audio sub-forum.
