So I was wondering what you guys thought of this soundcard. For christmas I gave my girlfriend an R9 290 and while upgrading her computer I found this just sitting in there. Sad part is she wasn't even using it. There doesn't seem to be a lot of information out there on it aside from the fact is a few years old. Oh and apparently the drivers were awful at the time.

 

I'm currently using the on board audio on my Gigabyte GA-G.1 Sniper, would using this sound-card improve my audio experience?

The Sniper series of mobos, to my knowledge, have pretty good audio solutions.

 

You likely won't see a benefit from using the card, especially one that old.
