Interface

Go to solution Solved by JaSoN_XzIoN,

I am trying to build a new computer. The motherboard and GPU both have HDMI built-in. Is there any reason to use one HDMI port over the other?

The motherboard port should be disabled as soon as you pop in the GPU, so use the GPU's port. They work independently from each other, so the motherboard connector won't use your GPU's power, it will use the cpu's built in gpu

Unless you want to use AMD dual graphics, by combining an APU and a GPU.

In that case, you can pretty much use either of the 2, and it will work fine. Actually, in my case, both gave me headaches, but I managed to make both work.

Oh yeah, forgot about AMDs solution, but is the performance boost worth it?

Uh... using a HD 6670 with an A6-3500 APU. It was quite a boost after I enabled it. But nowhere near close to the Gtx 970 I'm using until I can get my hands on a new CPU and mobo.

But yeah, it was a nice increase in performance over only using the GPU.
