GPU Broke What do i do?

Pretty long time viewer of linus. First time forum posting.

Christmas two years ago i bought a EVGA Nvidia geforce gtx 660ti. On Christmas night after receiving new computer stuff. My computer stopped working. Wouldn't transmit a signal took it to tiger direct said it was my gpu. Bought a 660 for the time being. My question is. What do i do with the TI? Could i take it to someone to fix it? Ship it back. I didn't buy a warranty with tiger direct. Is there one for evga? Now is it just a desk weight. Can i sell it? Do i have any options? I owe my parents 200$ now.

If you want to know whats wrong with it ill tell you all i know what was happening. I was playing PC games with my cousin when he wanted to play a little Gta online. So we switched to the ps3. Removed the hdmi from the PC plugged it into my ps3. Took it a minute or so to get it working. My hdmi cable was a little gimped up. Played for an hour or so. Then he went to bed so I removed the hdmi plugged it into my computer and, uh oh. No signal. So I was really pissed at my moniter. Unpluging and repluging. Turning on my computer and force shutting it down. This is where i think it happened. One point i removed both power cables and swapped them. When i plugged in my power cable to my PSU it made a "hissing" sound. Ignored it. Kept turning on and force shutting down my computer until i noticed my Hdmi cable was gimped. Then i pulled the cap off of it and at that point it was ruined. So i went to tiger direct bought a dvd-d and said F*** you hdmi. plugged in my computer and, Uh oh. No signal. This is where i broke down. "Damn, RIP monitor." Until I heard the worst racket in the world. My GPU's Fan was roaring like it just got its cameo as the lion for lionsgate. So this is where I got teary eyed. My first PC build lasted 2 years before something went down. So I took it to tiger direct. I can plug parts in, but i cant take them apart nor understand whats wrong. The put a different GPU in and it booted fine. So told me my gpu was broken and I could buy the 660. So I did. Its up and running now. But my TI is staring at me with its little fan helplessly crying. "help me christof save me"

Questions. "Is the old one fixable" "What should I do with it"

If it's not under warranty, throw it out. Otherwise send it in.

 

You should take back the $200 660 you bought, and buy a 960 instead...Or if you're lucky get your 660ti repaired/replaced for free. Either way it should actually be cheaper

If it's not under warranty then you have your brand new coaster!

Contact EVGA and see if it is

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

If you don't have warranty and it's dead why not put it in a oven or try some black magic. No really the oven thing is legit.

Satan couldn't fix it. Took it to the forest and asked. :/ Some political crap. Needs a soul or something stupid.

lol that was my mistake, I went to newegg and searched for 960, and assumed I was looking at 960's...which I wasn't. 960's haven't been released yet lol OOPSIES
