So i have an SSD as my boot drive and they are super expensive still so I was thinking RAID 0 HDDs for my games because I want faster loading times but I don't want to pay the premium price per gigabyte. I was thinking 2 1TB HDDs off my onboard SATA controller.

Honestly, Raid 0 HDDs isn't worth it. Just deal with the marginally slower loading times on one set of hard driver OR get a bigger SSD.

Not sure if you're a fan of "short stroking" but I do it myself. I have a Samsung 840 EVO 250GB as my boot drive and a Seagate Barracuda 1TB as storage. I do the short stroking and keep the faster partition for my games and the slower partition for my downloads and pictures and documents, videos. The performance isn't really THAT much but I do see improvements on the loading times from doing it. Though, I don't see why you would want faster loading times? Because even if you don't use an SSD for a game it still loads quite fast, I wouldn't bother unless you want more storage.

Edit: Linus did a video on it
