mic problems! help

so i got my corsair vengeance 1400 and the mic on it is abit strange i plug it in and i get realtek ask if i want line in or mic in, i have chosen both then i go to recording devices look at the green volume levels and nothing happens when i talk!!! help! please!!!!

well, I do have a vengeance 1400 also, let me see, have you try this,

at windows seach panel, manage audio devices ->recording ->choose your mic -> properties -> levels ->slide the slider to the maxxxx

on windows 7 tho

at windows seach panel, manage audio devices ->recording ->choose your mic -> properties -> levels ->slide the slider to the maxxxx

on windows 7 tho

im trying to work how to do that in windows 8 hang on mate.
