Hello. So I recently got 2 27 inch monitors, a Dell U2711 and a Acer XB270H.

I want to use the Acer monitor for gaming and the DELL for graphics(psd,c4d etc.)

There is just one problem, The Dell is of a higher resolution and that is causing some issues when i try to navigate between the screens.

Is there any way to line these up(screenshot above) without lowering the res of the DELL monitor?

Hi Haammaar,

I personally use one 1440p and 1080p monitor side-by-side. I, however, have never had any issues moving the mouse from one to the other. (I assume that is what you mean, right?)

Unfortunately there is no windows board tool that lets you "scale" your monitors in a way that leaving the one with a higher resolution on the top automaticaly enters the "smaller" one on the top (e.g.). Windows does not let you align the monitors in a physical way. You can just put the "pixels" side-by-side. In your example, leaving the "big" screen is only possible in the middle part. Changing screens near the edges will not work.

But there surely is software that lets you handle your monitors the way you want. I think Ultramon (https://www.realtimesoft.com/) can do this for you - But i am not entirely sure since i dont have it installed right now. But it is worth a try since there is a free version

Regards,

Just grabbed a BenQ 1440p monitor to put in-between my 2 1080p monitors. The scaling and mouse issues are incredibly annoying and distracting. Going to return the monitor and grab a nice 1080p monitor. So sad that the world still isn't ready for this tech
