I just upgraded my rig with a new Asus maximus 7 hero and an Intel i7-4790k cpu. this is an already build system with win7 installed. My problem is that this is my first higher end board and it doesnt seem to just boot right up. It posts, and i can enter bios but once it starts to boot to windows it just stops on the boot screen and tries to restart or asks to trouble shoot and fix. i did that too but it just restarted after "fixing windows" and nothing. same thing. I tried to put the asus driver disk in too to let it run the bios drivers and what not but i guess it cant do that yet? Do i need to flash the bios via flash drive? i dont even know how to go about that honestly. lol please someone help. my old board just started right up.

You need to reinstall windows. When you first install windows it sets it up to that specific mother board. this includes drivers and license.

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.
