hello,

 

so im exchanging my faulty gigabyte gtx970 with a msi ones do i have to reinstall the drivers or any thing else? some help would be greatly appriciated!

If you already have the latest driver right now 347.09 then no just put the new card in and it should work like normal.

thanks im just worried cause i had a zotac card and i exchanged bcos of the coil whine issue and then i bought the gigabyte ones and now it has a problem so im buying the msi ones! my luck is just bad.

Wow you seem to have bad luck with gpu i just got my zotac 970 yesterday and i just pop it in install the driver and it work like a charm.Hope the new msi one will be the final one you have to get. Enjoy your christmas with your new and hopefully working gpu :D

thank you mate i hope everything get fine, at first i thought it was my power supply idk i think 600w is enough for fx8320 and a gtx 970!

The 970 use very little power so with a 600w there is no way thats the problem.I didn't encounter any issues with my 550 psu at all so there is no need to worry.
