Migrating steam games

Go to solution Solved by EarthboundHero,

Today i will be remaking my computer again, the motherboard died so it got delayed for a while(specs in sig). Anyways i was wondering if i can migrate ny steam games to my new pc, ive got a 1tb drive and a 640gb drive at the moment, can i throw all my games on the 640gb drive and then back on the 1tb with the new os or have i got to download everything again.

Just put all the games on the new drive or whatever then go to Steam and tell it to install and point to the directory where it's located. It'll find it.

Copy the steamapps folder to the new Windows install and you're good. Go in Steam and when you try to install any of the games it will see that the folders are already there.
