Computer waking up from sleep on it's own

Rovert19

Hello,

I've recently started noticing that my computer will wake up on its own after I put it to sleep. I did a "powercfg -lastwake" in the command prompt and it's telling me that it was woken up by the power button, which I obviously didn't press. I was wondering what could be causing this? I would really appreciated some thoughts.

Did you powered up/down some major power user around a house in that moment?

No, I don't think so. I tried to put it to sleep 3 times last night but it just kept waking up. I ended up having to shut down in order to keep it from waking up.

The auto wake options were disabled. I ran a "powercfg -devicequery wake_armed", and it says only my mouse keyboard could wake it up. Could you elaborate on wifi sleep or settings. I don't have wifi on this computer.

I ran it and it said it was the power button which I didn't press.

I don't have any wireless peripherals.

if it is because of power button than it would probably shut down randomly too

Go to control panel > Device manager. If you right click a device and go to properties, then navigate to Power Management, check to see if it is allowed to wake the computer. It's usually the Network Adapter.
