Posted December 23, 2014 Author It is perfectly fine to run graphics cards at 8x currently (may not be that way in a few years) if that is your only reason i'd say stop...stop now... 2 reasons I want to upgrade. 1 it will go from PCI-E 2.0 X16 to PCI-E3.0 X16 also I will go from a Dual core CPU to a Quad Core CPU.
