I just got my Sennheiser HD558s and I went to test them out on a youtube video and I noticed that people's voices were very quiet while back ground music was very loud. I tested this on a couple of linus's videos and some other gaming videos and it does not happen with my speakers. If it helps my computer is detecting the headphones as speakers. It is not interference with my speakers because I unplugged them.

Well, it's one of HD558's sound signature that makes vocal become veiled at times, but it shouldn't make voice very quiet and background very noisy.

Make sure you aren't EQing them or something, disable all software "enhancement" (read: check this option and let me destroy your sound) and if your motherboard can drive them to loud level, there shouldn't be a problem on hardware level.

No i fixed it, apparently it is a problem with my front panel audio connector because i plugged it in the back and it is fine.

Ok but now I have a new problem - the rear port does not support any type of sonic sound-stage. Any ideas? Possibly how to fix my front audio port.

Don't. Play your games in headphone mode and it'll be better than those fake dolby 7.1 things.

Not all games have a headphone mode though.

Most do though, and if not just use stereo mode. The open design of the 558's allow for much better positional tracking than the fake surround.
