Go to solution Solved by WoodenMarker,

Oh I am a armature 3D modeler so I model like semi-high polys models.. Well here is my album wish is made with BLENDER (http://imgur.com/a/L6lqU), I know it's not that great software but I don't have a decent computer to run a software like Autodesk 3ds Max !!

Hey my name is Houssem Ben Mabrouk, I am a 3D designer and I want to build a decent computer that allow me to model and to play recent games the same time so I made up this setup: http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/XXmdgs

Please check it out and I want to know is it compatible to put a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 4GB WINDFORCE 3X Video Card in a ASRock Z87 Pro3 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard in Cooler Master Elite 371 ATX Mid Tower Case ?!

And if not please guide me to a nice Motherboadr and a well looking Case that has the right compatibility  ;)

Thanks You, That all I want to know  :)

Have a nice day !

Yes, it's all compatible only with a motherboard bios update but it could be better or cheaper.

What kind of modeling are you doing? Programs being used?

It may be easier to step up to a Z97 board. With a Z87 board and that CPU, it will require you to do a Bios update. Not extremely dangerous, but there is some risk envolved.

About the length. It will be a tight squeeze according to Pcpartpicker. Only 3 mm clearance

Replaced the Z87 board with Z97;

Do you mean the length of the GPU or what ?!

Any examples of what kind of models you work on? How many polys?

Yes, that's what he means. It's actually not that tight of a squeeze considering the clearance left compensates for a drive in the 3.5" bay in front of the card and it's less of an issue if other bays are used instead.
