I have a project that I've been working on, since March of this year. I'm taking about $700 in March of 2015, and finishing my PC build. I'm looking for max 1440p gaming prefering 60+ FPS. I know some say 4k will be out buy then and it may be. I don't plan on going much bigger than 28 inches viewing size for my monitor, due to living in small quarters with a family of 4.

This is my current setup.
Intel Core i7-4770K, MSI GeForce GTX 760, Corsair 500R White - The 2 Year Project - blaten's Saved Part List - PCPartPicker

Now some thing's I'd like advice on doing.
1. I'm looking to OC to about the same speed as a stock Devil's Canyon CPU, as when I bought the 4770k, DC wasn't in the cards.
2. I'm Running 16 gig Super Talent Elite 1333 (8gig x 2) Stick's of RAM. Does anyone think the 1333 will be a issue? I've never had a issue with the brand in the past, and can't beat a free X-mas present.
3. Video Card. Unless either video card company comes out with something between now and the time the money will be ready, I'm looking at the Strix from Asus. Do you think it's better to get 2 970's and deal with the profiles, or just hang with one 980 for max 1440 performance? This would be the first SLI I've done if so. I was wondering how bad it is to maintain it considering drivers and what not. Also, going SLI or not, should I keep the 760 in as a physx card if the 850w PSU will handle it? I have no problems running AMD card's as long as it won't require a PSU upgrade or since I dabble in LInux from time to time, it's not a driver nightmare.

I was unsure of the cooling solution. I normally go all out on cooling solution's because the system I build, must last almost forever lol. My last pc lasted about 10 year's before it got to the point I couldn't stand it. Having 2 kid's, I don't get to upgrade often. I have the Corsair 500R so water cooling is a option. Here are some of the cooling solution's I was looking at.

1. Noctua NH-D15 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835608045
Has the weight of the cooler ever been a issue for anyone?
2. Swift Tech 240x Swiftech H240-X - CPU Liquid Cooling Systems CPU Cooler VGA Water Block Heatsink Pump Radiator Heat Exchanger Kit
3. Enermax LIQTECH 240 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835214058

All 3 are great product's from the reviews I've seen, and the Swift Tech really stand's out because you can add to it later. Again, looking for opinions.

Thank you guy's for the input. Looking forward to the difference view point's everyone will have.

get the noctua nh-d15, it will never die. a watercooler might.

have you bought all the components already? there are quite a few things that could be tweaked.
