I'm going to be building my first PC in a few months and need some advice and help picking out parts to make a budget PC.

I will be using it for home use like Facebook and YouTube as well as homework and a fair bit of gaming like minecraft, destiny, and ps2 emulator (for kingdom hearts).

I will be using a 1920 x 1080 monitor for this PC and I already have mouse, keyboard, and will be using the monitors speakers.

However I can't use Ethernet so I will need a wireless adapter for my PC ( preferably USB not PCI).

I live in New Zealand so I need to use NZD currency.

I would also prefer free shipping with my parts.

My budget is approximately $1050 NZD shipping and taxes included. Please use the NZ PC part picker to help me out.

This is what I have so far : http://nz.pcpartpicker.com/user/Photon_Debugger/saved/1MRX

Thanks a lot, all help is greatly appreciated :))

well looking at the parts i dont think a 7770 is powerful enough to run decent at 1080p. you might have to upgrade things later but with the case and motherboard will limit you in the future

Get the A10-6800K or the A10-5800K, which one is available to you, don't buy the HD 7770 because the onboard GPU is more than capable to run those games that you refered at 60fps. Also I would get a better RAM kit and it would be better to get 2x4GB instead of 1x8GB, preferably Corsair vengeance 2X4GB kit. With the money saved from the GPU buy a low end CPU cooler just to make sure everything runs cool and quiet and a 120GB SSD. I would suggest the CM Hyper 212 evo, everything beyond that is overkill for your case, and as far as the SSD goes, get the Samsung 840 120GB. In addition, (this is optional) get an inexpensive soundcard such as the Xonar DG/DGX

Hope it helped!

EDIT: Destiny is not on PC, it is only PS4/Xbox One/PS3/Xbox 360

I was thinking about this also but had serious doubts about the performance of the integrated GPU. Will it handle battlefield 4 high settings 30fps?

Not that I'm certainly going to play it, I just want to make sure I'm getting some decent performance.

Check these benchmarks, why would he need a better GPU? Destiny is not a PC game. He doesn't need a dedicated GPU and surely not a 7770 or beyond. The HD 7770 runs every game maxed out on 1080p at 30fps, so it is easy to manage 60 fps at lower resolutions or lower settings.

Also rather get a Windows 8 Pro Upgrade version, it's an open secret that you can use it even without "upgrading" a former windows version.

Emm.. mate you didn't say anything about BF4, you said Minecraft, Destiny(which is not a PC game) and ps2 emulator. Please be more clear next time.

EDIT: Sorry I didn't check the third line in which you said that you are not going to play the game.

Battlefield 4 will be a little bit more demanding than Battlefield 3, because frostbite 3 is very close to frostbite 2.

Here are some benchmark results, take a look:

I don't think that the apu`s performances is better than 7770 oc. After all of the benchmarks and gameplay I've seen I'm convinced it is more powerful. Since destiny isn't coming to PC I think planetside 2 is the standard I'm trying to reach.

Planetside 2 at high at 30-40fps on 7770 oc?

I never said that APU is better than the 7770. I said it is more than enough to play those games at 60fps. But no, you wont be able to play planetside 2 at high with the APU. Also the hd 7770 might wont be able to run Planetside at 30-40 fps. I say maybe because Planetside 2 is a CPU intensive game so your GPU can be bottlenecked by the CPU.

The 5600k with the 7770 should run Planetside 2 at about 47 fps average.
