for some stupid reason the shop only carries black in 16GB  and not 8GB and 16GB cost like $226.00

Get the G skill. The only downside is the stupid stickers they put on the RAM.

G.Skill. Awesome RAM, have never had any complaints or heard about any complaints.

You wont see any performance difference, you'll probably be able to lower the cl of the ripjaws to 7 since mine came delivered with 7 :-)

I am heavily biased toward G.Skill myself, and for good reason. Kingston is good as well.

As mentioned above I'd also vote for Corsair & G.Skill (personally I'm using the TridenX's from G.Skill & have never had any issues!) Both are great brands.
