I have Dlink router ( DIR-636L ) an it is not outputting my correct internet speed i went from 50mbs down to barley 1 any help?

How long has it been since you reset it? And if you have recently did you leave it off for a couple minutes to let it completely loose all power?

i called my isp when i did the test an the problem is on my end because the Comcast person even reset my modem to check an i did a speed test with speedtest.net, i got like 1.43mbs down an 2.39mbs up when i got atleast 30mbs down an 20mbs up on wired on CAT5

So with a wired connection your speed is ok ? Your problem is only on wireless ?

i would but i forgot my router password (not the wireless password)

Pressing the factory reset button will put it back to the normal login (found on the bottom of your device)

If your router is provided by your ISP and you think it's broken. Ring them up. Tell them it's broken and request a new one.
