Hi,

I had a stable overclock on my 750k for like 6 months at 4.4ghz at 1.30v

I recently set it to 4.7ghz at 1.35ish volts (somewhere around there, don't wanna check bios setting)

On cpuz/HWmonitor its saying the cpu is getting 1.57-1.56v

Which is correct and should I be worried about this damaging my mobo/cpu

Temps are stable so far with prime 95 running for about a total of 40ish minutes? (was test while working but ma shut computer off :/)

Temp:

CPU: 65

 Package temp: 115

SYS: 32

AUX: 59

TMP 40 (wacky sensor, varies from 130 to negative 20)

Its currently stress testing right now so clearly its somewhat stable, but i will continue to stress it for the next couple days

How is 4.7ghz possible at 1.35v or 1.5v, clearly something cant be right!? Is it too good to be true??

STOP PRIME95 IT WILL KILL YOUR CPU

Seriously prime95 cam fry CPUs by overvolting them

Isn't overvolting only a problem if your overheating...?

I will, what program should i use??

I switched to intel burn test and its still showing 1.56V on cpuz/hwmonitor, everything checks out fine soooo I guess im really lucky with the cpu? thank the OC gods/Silicon Lottery?

Prime95 affects adaptive mode on newer Intel CPUs when running the SmallFFT test. Please do a little checking before you type in caps.

@TannerThanU

4.7GHz is pretty good from the Trinity 750K. They averaged 4.2-4.3GHz.

1.56v is on the higher side of things, I'm not going to be one of them people that run in saying "noo that will kill it instantly has to be less than 1.3v!" (again with 0 research into AMD operating voltages and only repeating what they've heard on Intel stuff).

I'd try and work down though. If you dialled in 1.35v and are getting 1.56v I'd suspect you either have a 200mV offset set or you're using automatic voltage.

Ahhh I do have it offset, I didn't know what that meant and I was trying to figure that out lol

Over 1.5v is high on an AMD chip, Phenom II was safe under 1.5v on air, higher needs water at 45nm.
