I have a terrible buzzing/hissing noise coming from my headset(Tritton AX 180) when I have it plugged in to my desktop. I understand that when I have the headset plugged into a USB wall charger for in iPhone, there is no buzzing, but then I can't use the microphone on the headset as it transfers the microphone signal on the USB. I have looked around everywhere for an answer as to how I can use my microphone without having the rest of my experience diminished by the terrible buzzing.

Thank you for any help.

My USB headset buzzes when I have it plugged into the port next to the one my mouse is plugged into. Try moving it to a port without any other populated ports around it. Also avoid using USB ports on the front of your case because the cables can pick-up interference on their way there.

ask me if you have any questions.

So I've done what you told me, noise has been reduced, but there is still a major issue when I activate the mic in anyway.

There might not be a whole lot more you can do (as far as I know). If it's really bad you can maybe consider a RMA. My headset has some buzz but, I have learned to live with it. It will just make it that much sweeter when I get a proper set of cans.

Sorry I can't help you any more. :(
