Resolution vs Refresh rate?

I'm looking to upgrade my monitor but I can't decide wheter to get the LG 24GM77 1080p 144Hz monitor, the iiyama xb2779qs 1440p monitor or the crssover 290 m 21:9 monitor.

I currently have a 22 inch 1080p 60Hz monitor and a 780 Ti which is waaaaay overkill for 1080p, yes, but I was always planning on buying a higher resolution anyway, thats why i bought it.

 

Any recommendations?

Eh i wouldn't say the 780 is overkill nowadays (couting 60 fps as a minimum) and it depends on what you are going to use the monitor for...

 

if gaminng, which games?

I prefer Higher resolutions, however allot of people like higher refresh rates. If you haven't had a 120Hz or 144Hz experience I would recommend the 144Hz.

I'll be playing things like Battlefield 4, Crysis 3, Star Citizen, Far Cry 4, Arma 2/3. I was thinking about the crossover 21:9 monitor because it would change my gaming experience by making more of the screen visible where as the 1440p is just basically an enlargement, in every way, of what I already have so i dont see how there would be such a difference. Also the 21:9 is easier to drive than 1440p so id be getting higher fps
