Network bridge help! (Please help!)

upliftsleet1974
Go to solution Solved by upliftsleet1974,

Wow so all it was is I needed to share the network.

I am using a laptop to bridge the wifi network to my desktop and get an error on my desktop

"Ethernet does not have a valid ip configuration" I also get ip conflict errors.

I have tried.

Restarting both computers and resetting the bridge a few times.

Got any ideas?????

have you tried manually typing in a valid IP address from your range/subnet?

So your laptop is receiving wifi and then giving internet to your desktop?

If so then just run the troubleshooter, I've gotten a few invalid IP address problems with my power line adapter and it just fixes it automaticlly

EDIT: Troubleshoot on the desktop

Current Build: Desk

My case is my most expensive part

Its Almost 2015 and I don't have an SSD

Well I dont know what your current configuration is. Check on the laptops connection:

example:

laptop IP :192.168.0.5

laptop Subnetmask: 255.255.255.0 (/24)

default gateway: 192.168.0.1

so if this is the case or close to it just add 1 to the IP address and keep the rest the same on the desktop.
