What should I upgrade?

Hi, new to the forum even though subscribed to linus for years.

 

My setup:

Zalman z11 case

Intel i5 3570k - buy a cooler and overclock?

AMD 7850 - GTX 970 seems like a bargain nowadays agree?

Gigabyte Z77-D3H

Corsair CX500W - Might get away since GTX 970 uses so little power. What do you think?

OCZ Agility 3 - 120GB SSD

WD 1TB

 

Microsoft Sidewinder X4

Roccat Kone Pure

LG Monitor - Really want a 144hz monitor like BenQ XL2411Z for CSGO really

Sennheiser HD598

 

 

Should I upgrade now or wait a little longer into 2015? PC still runs like a dream but would the upgrade be better for games like Arma 3 at higher frames and settings? Cooler, graphics card and monitor will get me near £600 already X_X

get a new GPU and monitor, the Monitor will last for your next build too, and you can save up for a really kick ass rig

 

a 970 would be a great option for now, not too expensive but great performance for 144hz 1080p

 

your PC is ok as it is and should last a bit longer,

I'd research the monitor, if you buy a good one it will last you for years, and let's be honest most of us geeks/gamers/programmers are staring at the damn thing for most of our day, so why not get something that's nice (good for your eyes too) to look at? Also grab a 970 and you should be good for a couple of more years I figure.
