Is there any fix for sound bleeding and echoing in the mic? Is this common for the Hyper X headphones? I literally got these in today from Amazon, and the bleeding bothers me because others I am speaking with can hear themselves and any other sounds going through my headset. Been toying with the mic volume/mic boost in windows settings and nothing's makin' it go away.

This a common problem with headsets since both cables are so close to each other sometimes a small defect can cause the microphone to pick up the headphone audio. If software trickery didn't change anything, or changing the port then its most likely a defect in the cable and not much you can do about it other than getting a new one.
