HyperX Cloud, a good buy?

Go to solution Solved by Ripull,

Is the only difference between the 1500's and the 2100's that the 2100's are wireless? Or is there much more

I would like to get Corsair branded headphones for my Asus/Corsair themed build

AFAIK the difference is wireless.

See wireless is a bit of a premium, so it costs more. As well as that, it comes with a dongle to transmit the sound to the headset, as well as a stand to optionally fit the dongle into. So that hypes the price up.

As the title says, is the HyperX Cloud a good buy? I won't be using these headphones for just gaming but I will probably do something like half of the time gaming and half of the time music (Mix of all types of music)

Are there any headsets better than the cloud that cost a max of $130?

The mic is important, but no where near as important as the audio quality of the headphones

Thanks!

I'd prefer the H2100 any day. There might be a small difference in price, nothing major.

There is a $50 difference in price, so it's quite a bit, is it worth the extra money?

How much better is the mic?

But most importantly how much better is the audio quality? Is it exaggerated or is it clear & balanced?

Not sure where you're buying from, there is a wired version called the H1500 which is cheaper.

Me, myself, I just go wireless where I can.

Audio is better, it has dolby 7.1 virtual surround sound. The mic quality is also better, it's not thiny, although there is a very VERY subtle hiss in the background.

The 1500's are in stock and are the same price as the clouds.

Hey, hey look at that, identical price.

If you can wait, seriously do get the H1500 instead of the HyperX

AFAIK the difference is wireless.

See wireless is a bit of a premium, so it costs more. As well as that, it comes with a dongle to transmit the sound to the headset, as well as a stand to optionally fit the dongle into. So that hypes the price up.
