Screen resolution appears

Just before i got rid of my 6450 after i ordered my new gpu a problem started to happen. When i tried to play fullscreen the screen resolution page would open and i wouldnt be able to get into the game. Any ideas, newest drivers and reinstalled them. took the gpu in and out but happened again. Any ideas?
