Bios update question

I have a Asus P8P67 Pro Rev 3.0 motherboard. I need to update the bios on it. What is the best way of going about it?  Looking on the Asus website I can use "bupdater" or EZ update. I downloaded the newest bios and used 7-zip to get the .rom file on my usb stick. I was just going to enter bios and click update from the usb stick file. My question is what is the best way of going about this?

 

From the short video on Asus website it looks like ez update has to download the file from the Internet through the bios?

Any help would be great since this is the first time I have ever updated bios.

Best way is the way you stated.

Place to ROM on a USB stick, plug it in, enter BIOS, launch Updater, select ROM, click update.

Doing it from Windows can cause other issues.
