Steelseries Dex optical mouse tracking problems?

I got a corsair sabre rgb and I've noticed that when I've had to do flicks in csgo the mouse would have a spasm and I'd spin randomly in game.

To you guys, does this sound like a problem with the surface of the dex or is it a problem with my mouse alone.

I have had continued problems with tracking on my Steel Series Rival.  I am on my 4th copy in about 3 months.  I'll be sending this one in for replacement soon, as its having the same problems.  I even upgraded my whole system with top quality parts, still having problems with the Rival mice.  I think their QC must be total garbage.

What surface are you playing on.  Optical sensors can be very picky.  My deathadder hates anything but my steelseries QCK

@Vizzion I'm playing on the DeX which has all these funky ridges over on it.

I might have to order myself a QcK+ which is a shame cause I quite like the dex.

the spasms sound like something that would happen with a lower-end optical sensor during a flick that cannot process the mouse moving that quickly.  If you have an older logitech optical around, just try flicking it and watch it freak out.  However I would not see this happening in a corsair sabre unless the sensor was faulty.  try flicking it on your desktop very fast and if it freaks out still its posible you are either raising it off the pad during the flick (i have no idea the liftoff distance of this mouse) causing a spaz, or the sensor is faulty and cannot handle that speed.

also, of course, it could be the surface that the sensor isnt liking very much.  I'd check the other options before buying something.

Do you know if laser mice also have this problem with lifting during a flick? I used to have an M65 (laser) and my handling of the mouse hasn't changed.

I think I might return it for another one to test before I get another mousepad.
