Borderlands 2: Aspect Ratio Problemss

Go to solution Solved by ForsakenLive,

Messed with Nvidia control panel but nothing seemed to work

I tried changing Aspect ratio to full screen, enabling "override aspect ratio in games and programs"

neither worked :/

thanks for suggestion

apparently your PC still thinks you have a 4:3 monitor, I don't know if this is a config file on Borderlands or a Nvidia setting.

Try going to your local game files, which are either on your My Games folder or somewhere in steam, there should be a config file, you can just delete it and the game will make a new one with the correct settings.

I had an old monitor with 4:3 aspect ratio. Now im using a normal 1080p monitor but I cant change the aspect ratio to widescreen. You can scroll through the resolutions in options, but they are all 4:3. I know this is sort of specific, but quite a few games have this problem for me since I used to play them on 4:3 and theres no easy way to change it. But for some reason with borderlands I cant find anything online or even change it through the options files (I even tried deleting them to restore them to defaults but no luck...)

thanks

try re-adjusting your settings on the Nvidia Control Panel, or the AMD Catalyst.

I went to my documents and game files and deleted all the options settings, but when i reopened the game it still comes back up with a 4:3 resolution.

*tried it again and restarted, went into options and changed it to 1080 after just to be sure. when i reopened the game, it was reverted to the 4:3 resolution but when i scrolled over it allowed me selet 1080p finally.

not sure why it didnt work the first time but Thanks a lot
