Wireless Card Trouble!

Idiotically, I purchased this card

without thinking. I needed the longer version. I went to go return it, but again, my luck seemed to fail me and I could not. 

My friend recently purchased the same card and just threw it into a normal slot and it worked. I tried the same, but it isn't being detected in device manager or by the utility for it. I dont know what to do. any help would suffice.

have you tried to just manually look for the driver by googling the model?

I tried to manually install the driver and it just makes me use the utility for it, which refuses to detect it. I think I found the issue though, I put it in my bottom PCI Express instead of my top. Ooops. I'll keep you updated
