I have been planning to build a new gaming pc for about 2 months and the more options i search, the more i am puzzled.  With this post i hope to clear everything and finally buy the parts and build my rig.

1. Budget & Location

I have a budget of about US $1200 but the parts are expensive in India than in USA, so my budget is restricted to around $1000 And one more thing many brands such as ENERMAX, AVEXIR, NZXT, ROSEWILL etc aren't available here.

2. Aim

GAMING, GAMING, GAMING and More GAMING
is the sole purpose i am building this pc. I would be able to get 45+ fps in games such as Battlefield 3, Far Cry 3, Black Ops 2, Crysis 3, Metro Last light to name a few.

3. Monitors

I just want to play on ONE monitor with a resolution of 1080p. I have no plans for upgrading to 2 or more monitors.

4. Peripherals

I do have all the peripherals such as gaming headset, keyboard, mouse and monitor, so no need of those.

5. Additional Notes

    a) I don't plan to overclock right away but in future i definitely will.
    B) I don't want to water clock either the CPU or the GPU.
    c) If i can get better performance and quality at little more price, i am open to suggestion and opinions.

THE GAMING RIG

1. CPU - Intel i5 3570K

2. Mobo - MSI Z77A-GD65  or  Gigabyte Z77X - UD3H  or  Gigabyte G1.Sniper M3

Can't decide between these three mobo.

3.  GPU  - Sapphire HD 7950 with boost

http://www.snapdeal.com/product/sapphire-hd7950-3gb-gddr5-with/636281?pos=1;4

4. HDD   - WD Black Caviar 1TB

5. PSU  - Seasonic S12II 620W

http://www.flipkart.com/seasonic-s12ii-620-watts-psu/p/itmd5xz46hjzzrax?pid=PSUD5XZ4GCGRASAY&ref=04156aea-25d5-4a81-b504-4e16c3b8a129&srno=t_1&otracker=from-search&query=seasonic%20s12

6. RAM - Corsair Vengeance  or  G Skill Ripjaws X
                     2*4GB

7. CASE - Cooler Master K380

8. CPU Cooler - CM Hyper Evo 212

UPDATE
1. I plan to add another 7950 in about a year when games would become more demanding.

2. SSD and two 120mm fans would also find their place in my rig.

It looks good but I hope you're putting the ssd in now. Your budget can fit it fine.

If you plan on adding GPUs later, go with Nvidia cards, they seem to have SLI sorted out better than AMD has Crossfire (for now). Also, I'd recommend a beefier PSU from the start, again since you plan on adding a GPU. Otherwise, you're good to go.

Desktop: Intel Core i7-5820K, Corsair H115i, Asus X99-Deluxe/USB 3.1, G.Skill Ripjaws4 32GB 2800MHz CL16, Zotac RTX 3070, Samsung 950 Pro 512GB in Angelbird Wings PX1, Samsung 850 EVO 1TB, 5*Seagate 12TB, Cooler Master V1200, Phanteks Enthoo Luxe, Windows 10 Pro. Phillips 328P6VUBREB, Corsair Vengeance K95 RGB Cherry MX Brown, Logitech G502 X Plus, Sennheiser HD700.

AYANEO 2S: AMD 7800U, 32GB 7500MHz, 2TB WD SN850X. Windows 11.

Quite a solid build. I would recommend going the mATX route and getting the 350D. That case looks stunning while having a great price as well as the motherboard having practically the same functionalilty as a full ATX board (albeit without as many PCI-E slots, but most people won't use them anyway).

That PSU can support two 7950's without a problem.

I don't think there is enough headroom in case he wants to overclock, which he says he will in the future.

Guys thank you for replying so fast, can you also recommend me a motherboard and ram from the options given above.

I'd go with UD3H but you can't go wrong with any of those three. For RAM, if they run at the same speed, go with the one with lower latency, or which ever is cheaper (doesn't matter really).

Something like this.

And with whatever RAM you'd like, G Skill is probably a good choice for its value.

What makes you think that?

Personally, I tend to keep at least a 50 to 75W headroom when I buy a PSU, usually more. For example, I plan on getting a AX860i for my 4770K+780 future build with plans to add one in future (overkill in capitals, I know), but the way I see it, that PSU has a 7 year warranty, and I will be using it for that period of time, so I'd rather be more prepared than skimp on something as important as a PSU.

There is 50W+ of headroom. It's not skimping when you won't use more than it offers.

Bigger isn't always better.

I was talking about being prepared for something one may not foresee. I could always add another 780 after adding another 780 can't I? Or change my hardware all together to a more demanding set-up, but still keep my PSU because it is good enough?

With things like monitors, keyboards, mice, cases, PSUs (stuff that you would keep for longer than CPU, GPU, RAM), more is better. But that is plainly my opinion. I'm sure we can agree to disagree :)

If you went for a triple GPU setup, it would be a very bad decision. I'd prefer a quality keyboard over two or more "lesser" keyboards any day.

Yes, triple GPU set-ups don't scale well at all, but the point is the system would be more upgradable. And the 'more' was referring to quality, having two keyboards (or mice or cases) for one computer is redundant.

Upgradable for what?

I could get ditch the two 780s for two Titans, watercool everything (GPU boost 2.0 will overclock the Titans a lot) and still not spend a dime on supplying power to the system. It really isn't hard to understand.

My point is that it still doesn't warrant the purchase of a higher wattage PSU. "It really isn't hard to understand."
