For the processor, I'd go for the Pentium for now (since you're getting the 212 Evo and some Mx4).

For the motherboard, I think you should go Z97 instead of H97 so I think you should use the MSI Z97 PC MATE motherboard: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-z97pcmate

For graphics, the 290 looks pretty good for £40 more than the 280x you chose.

 

It seems that the black edition yields higher performance because of a better cooler and being slightly overclocked.

If buy pentium, you mean G3258, by all means go for it. If you want to save a little more money, look for a motherboard that supports overclocking for the Pentium alone. (

) Although it will mean you cannot overclock an unlocked i5 if I remember correctly.

 

As regarding the difference of Black Edition and Normal, it's usually just the overclock and cooling - not a massive different. Personal preference.
