Best Nas

I am looking for a great NAS with amazing storage for about $85 a terabyte. There is a sale going on right now for a Buffalo 

TeraStation, but I want to know if there is a better deal. I want arround 6-8 TBs. Thanks.

Personally i believe the best NAS device is one you configure yourself. Check out FreeNas

I've got a Netgear ReadyNAS 104 with 2 3TB red drives

 

 

i got the readyNAS 104 for 260$

 

the red drives i got for 180$ each which correlates to 60$ per TB

 

combine both prices i got 1 TB for about 100$ which is 15$ more for what youre asking for

Not sure if youd wanna go this route

 

note that these purchases were made in sweden where computer prices are usually higher then other places so if you are in the US this would be alot cheaper.
