Okay so I asked earlier about the 270x vs 290, I want to re ask.

the 280 is at £147, the 290 is at £217

Which is best for price/performance/lifespan?

the 290 all around imo

its better at resolutions >1080p

it also gets you the adaptive v-sync/freesync when that comes out

290 is way better. power consumption isn't much more either for a 50% or higher performance jump.
