how come? if you don't mind me asking. I am quite curious.

They are charging us now 0.28€/kWh so its getting quite expensive and I don't let my PC run just for Boinc.

Since the WUs are quite long and without checkpoint I can't finish a single WU.

Also seeing that Boinc is allowing Bitcoin mining isn't making me so happy.

The users could donate there money directly, this would be more efficient.

holy moly. That is some serious, high electricity prices.

I wonder about that "long projects and no checkpoint"

though.

I computed for FreeHal, Collatz Conjecture, DistRTgen, MilkyWay@Home; today I wouldn't run DistRTgen.

I tried a lot of other projects but I couldn't finish their WUs within the deadline or because of not frequently enough checkpoints.

I used the official berkeley boinc client.
