Crossfire w/ r9's

So I just ordered a Windforce R9 290 (non x) from new egg because I wanted to upgrade from my 280x from XFX and what I needend to know is could I bee able to crossfire the two cards? I'm not shore because the 290s crossfire trough the PCI slot, were as the 280s do it the old school way...

Also will my 750w psu be able to crossfire the cards? It is the Evga supernova new version 750B

(My cpu is the FX 8350)

you can't crossifre a 280x with a 290
