First Gaming Rig. Thoughts?

Ronanwar

This build is mainly for gaming and I think I got it pretty well on this one but just to be sure, tell me what you guys think and IF I should change anything. Take a look! I will also be including a PCPartPicker URL.

I'm using parts from my old system on this new one. I will be using an SSD, Windows 8.1, and another HDD.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/QVCM6h

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor

CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i

Motherboard: Asus MAXIMUS VII HERO ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (I will probably do some overclocking on the CPU. That is why I chose this Motherboard! And the fact that it looks AWESOME!)

Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2133 Memory

Storage: Like I said, I have a Samsung 840 EVO 250 GB SSD and 2 TB drives.

Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 4GB WINDFORCE Video Card (I was gonna get 2 970's but I will probably upgrade to SLI in the future.)

Case: Corsair 780T ATX Full Tower Case (I will not be doing water cooling in the future and was told this case was great at air flow.)

PSU: SeaSonic 760W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (I went a little overkill here but I will most likely be doing upgrades in the future!)

Other Stuff: NZXT Hue Led Controller

I already have keyboards, mouse, etc... From old system.

Anything you think I should improve? I have already started ordering my items. I think this build is great so far.

[EDIT]  I forgot monitors!!!! I will be running 3 1080p monitors as I already have 2. I cannot afford a 4k monitor!

Computer SpecsGPU: Gigabyte Windforce GTX 980 Motherboard: Asus Maximus Hero VII Power Supply: SeaSonic 760W 80+ Platinum CPU: Intel i7-4790k

Other Facts: Phone: Galaxy Note 3 Laptop: 13-inch 2.4 GHz Macbook pro with Retina

I'd go with a 970 instead of a 980 and plan to SLI 970's in the future. But that's just me

just for gaming this is overkill

8gb is more than enough

go with an i5 over an i7 if you arnt rendering, editing etc,

maybe go with a 970 unless your budget can afford a 980 and you need that extra performance

Yes Yes Legalize Gay Marriage sure, but have you ever considered Weaponizing Gay?

If your building this rig for gaming, I think you should get an i5 4690k, an 2x4GB kit of Ram, a single 970...and I might even go as far as changing the motherboard...

THIS!

And I would change and but ton of things....

This would be much better at gaming:

Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX Video Card (2-Way SLI)  ($349.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX Video Card (2-Way SLI)  ($349.99 @ SuperBiiz)

This is a pretty good idea. Depending on what kind of stuff you are doing. Just for gaming this should be great.

To the OP, I was thinking about getting the Hero VII, it's $220 usually, and $200 on sale. I went with the Z97-A from Asus so I can still use their great software. Yes it doesn't look as cool, but it saved me $80, which instead of getting a 4690k I got a 4790k, but I do renders/streaming so ya, you could save a bit on the mobo unless you are in love with the looks.

Current PC build: [CPU: Intel i7 8700k] [GPU: GTX 1070 Asus ROG Strix] [Ram: Corsair LPX 32GB 3000MHz] [Mobo: Asus Prime Z370-A] [SSD: Samsung 970 EVO 500GB primary + Samsung 860 Evo 1TB secondary] [PSU: EVGA SuperNova G2 750w 80plus] [Monitors: Dual Dell Ultrasharp U2718Qs, 4k IPS] [Case: Fractal Design R5]
