Are you thinking of installing Ubuntu on an Android device?

That depends.

 

If you have a Nexus device, there are things such as MultiROM. If you have no knowledge regarding custom ROM's, etc, I recommend you DON'T do this. [Or you can have somebody who does know a little more assist you.] ** Here's a demo video of what it's kinda like. MultiROM will allow you to legitimately dual-boot... kinda like on an actual computer.

 

However, if you don't have a Nexus device, I recommend you Google stuff relating to your specific device (AND PUT YOUR DEVICE IN THE OP). There is a way to run Linux distros in Android through VNC using this app (from http://linuxonandroid.org/). But this isn't exactly dual-booting and may not work that well. I used it, but probably because my tablet is trash, it didn't run well.

 

 

**Note: If you don't have any experience/knowledge around modifying the Android system and stuff, you probably shouldn't start with this project LOL
