Finalize my build

Go to solution Solved by Lotus,

Wow, you spend a shitload on that motherboard. It makes the CPU/MoBo platform completely unfeasable. You  could get an i5 platform for that price, and i definitely recommend you do so!

The 270x is just a factory overclocked version of the 270. Get either the 270 or 280. (Note: this does not apply to all X versions of AMD cards, only the 270x)

You have grossly overestimated your power usage. You don't need a 750W PSU in this system. A cheaper 500W unit will do just fine.

Lastly, you really don't need an optical drive. You don't even need one to install the OS with. You can use a flash drive for that.

edit: Here is what I might do. I noticed you were underbudget, so even though I stuck with your sub 1k AUD, I kept the budget closer to the one in your build and it's more like sub 900 AUD for some leeway. It's got significantly better stuff where it counts (CPU/GPU) and isn't much more expensive. It might be a bit overkill for games like CS:GO, LoL, and DoTA2, but for the new Borderlands game you're going to want it. Anyway, here it is:

I have a 1000AUD AMD build which I plan to be running on my gaming PC are Borderlands: the pre sequel, League of Legends, DOTA 2, CSGO and possibly some new releases in the future. Can you please give me some advice before I start building.

you could upgrade to an fx-8320 and change the mobo to a cheaper one cause that one is expensive for some reason

on that build you could go down to a 600w psu

and id suggest try to get an r9 280

also an intel build would do better in gaming

Runescape player  II  Civ 6 and LoL noob  II
