Hey

I am building a hackintosh for my brother for the holidays.  He does some music editing, but that;s it, very light use.  The build is below.

is there any way to better optimize the build, or are the parts even compatable with osx.  I want him to run yosemite or the one before that.  My main concerns are if he updates the computer will everything stop working? or will it just not let him update(in case of incompatibility for future updates).  I really can't be doing maintenence on this all the time, so i need to be able to get it up and running, and working for good.  So, are there any better parts for the same amount or less?  and is this compatable?  I would really like somebody who is confident and really knows what there doing that I can troubleshoot with while I am building it.

Thanks,

Gabe

I can help with programming and hardware.

Careful not to install OSX 10.9 Yosemite though. You cannot use TRIM for SSDs due to a change in the way kext signing works, which will probably result in the SSD not performing optimally.
