I've had this issue since day one of owning a gtx770 and I've never been able to fix the issue. What does fix it for most people though is to go into Nvidia control panel, under 3d settings. Go to global settings and there should be a drop down that says like power management, click the drop down and select prefer maximum performance.

So I'm having this problem where i play a game for like 15 mins and my framerate drops to ~20 fps and gpu usage drops to like 10% for around 10-15 seconds. How do i fix this. Rig: FX-8320 @4.0Ghz, 16Gb RAM, 750w power, gtx 770 2gb

It varies on how to fix it because I could be a PCI-E slot issue, card issue, Driver issue, game issue. You never know until you start testing each parts and see what is causing it.

disable vsync, if activated

Edit: I was wrong I didn´t read it careful

How to fix: Disable steamoverlay in every non steam game, MSI afterburner DISABLED. No apps running in the background.

Desktop *rightklick*-> Nvidia control center ->3D settings ->Global settings -> search for "Shadercache" set it to "DISABLE"->search for "maximal limit of prerendered images" set it to "1". If you have cpu hungry games, you can specify that game in the nvidia control panel right to the global settings tab and search your game.

BTW: Overclocking will make the stuttering worse!
