So right now I'm using 7/16" ID and 5/8" OD. Going to be adding my GPU to my loop next month and will be ordering a lot of compression fittings. I have heard some prefer the smaller, what is it 3/8" tubing? Anyways I want to make sure I'm going to order fittings for the best size tube to work with as the fittings are really expensive.

Current PC build: [CPU: Intel i7 8700k] [GPU: GTX 1070 Asus ROG Strix] [Ram: Corsair LPX 32GB 3000MHz] [Mobo: Asus Prime Z370-A] [SSD: Samsung 970 EVO 500GB primary + Samsung 860 Evo 1TB secondary] [PSU: EVGA SuperNova G2 750w 80plus] [Monitors: Dual Dell Ultrasharp U2718Qs, 4k IPS] [Case: Fractal Design R5]

The most common I see is 3/8" ID 5/8" OD, most prefer it since it is thick wall tube which can maintain tight turns and bends without kinking easily, large diameter sizes are usually 1/2" ID and 3/4" OD, but all this is up to choice and what fittings are available at times.

Yes, I noticed some higher availability of this size for compression fittings compared to my current size. So is the 3/8 by 5/8 easier to manage? I only have a few compression fittings now so I wouldn't be upset to change right now, but obviously after I buy 8 compression fittings I'm not gonna go back lol, that shit is expensive.

I know how you feel, it is a one time coast as long as you don't change to hard line or a different size anytime soon :P

It depends on that look you'd like to achieve, some people like the larger sizes which give it a more bulky look but between 3/8"ID and 5/8"OD and 1/2"ID and 3/4"OD there isn't really a performance difference between those two for cooling. The thicker walled stuff will give you a better bend radius and prevent kinks but if you are doing extremely sharp corners it can kink but most cases for soft tube it's best to have nice curves and even tubing to get that nice look.

Yeah...that hardline tubing sutff looks really tricky...honestly I like the look of tubing better tbh. Bitspower fittings are available in my area but only in the 3/8" ID size so I might go with that when I add my GPU to my loop and get some Primochill tubing.

Sounds like a plan I was personally looking for some more affordable compression fittings so I could watercool and possible do hardline in the future maybe as an upgrade but unfortunately affordable and fittings don't go together very well. :(

Yeah...that's another reason. For some reason in my area I can get bitspower fittings (supposed to be one of the best?) for about 4 dollars EACH for compression fittings. Online they are like almost 10 dollars each lol.
