  • So my little brother asked me to help him with picking parts for a new PC. Unfortunately I dont know anything about computer parts. His budget is around $500-$600 (CAD).

The only games he really plays is Minecraft, L4D, League of Legends, CSGO.

He wants to be able to run those games as smoothly as possible with the budget he has.

No need for peripherals

The i3 family is not worth it imo compared to the g3258 unless you get one with hyper threading, and still its some what overpriced compared to the g3258

idk but rendering with a 2 cores and 4 threads is slow and not worth the money

if he is just gaming then an i3 would be better. I have both an i3 and a G3258.

Now if only Intel would make an unlocked i3 that would be a beast gamer :)

ik intel's lowest priced k cpu is $250, so not that competitive in terms of pricing

right, thats why an i3K would be great. They would sell a ton!
