urgent help needed (audio problem)

so i recently use driverpack solution to update my realtek driver and after it finished updating my driver...my laptop stops producing sound and my audio icon on the bottom right corner suddenly have like a red "X" mark on it..... then i tried to rollback, and it still won't change a thing... so i tried to troubleshoot, but it didn;t really help much (as seen in the picture) it says taht my device is disabled but when i go to my device manager, it's enabled..... i am currently running out of ideas right now... can anyone help?

btw OS is 8.1

Download the driver from there site and don't use driver pack.

Or

Download the driver you had before.

Or

You could use a restore point to go back to the way your computer was before you installed the driver.

Have you right clicked the speaker, gone to playback devices, right clicked the device, and clicked enable?

that's the problem, i can't.... it says enabled... and the weird part is, everytime i clicked, test, or i wanna choose a different default device, it just doesn't respond

Like Fluxx said, don't use driver packs.

If you want, try Iobit Driver Booster, that does a great job updating drivers.

Your laptop came with Windows 8.1 or a previous version? Some laptops need OEM stuff to work properly. Check for those stuff on manufacturer website.

it comes with 8.... i tried going to toshiba website but.... it's no hope....

unfortunately, i can't remember my old driver.... and oddly enough.. restore point doesn't seem to "work" it always resulted in an error or something

Try uninstalling all the realtek audio drivers and restart the computer, windows should load up the default windows audio driver, see if that fixes the issue.
