Is it worth it?

Go to solution Solved by Faceman,

Hey, I'm in need of a cheap LGA 1150 board that supports SLI and I came across this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132369

It has free return and exchanges until january, so Idk. What do you guys think?

Nah, that looks sketchy.  I don't like refurbished products.

Here are some alternatives:

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-gaz97mxgaming5 <-- This one is Micro... but only $100

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-z97extreme3

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-z97a

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-z97sslikraitedition

If you aren't afraid of MIRs, then I highly recommend the Asus Z97-AR on Tigerdirect for $105.

I'd say go for it with the $7 1 year extended warranty.

You would have to read the fine print.

Its a $150 motherboard though, so getting it for $100 is a steal.

Thanks for linking this man! It lets me get the 25 dollar discount, and I think I can still use the rebate

I think you will be ok...

Offer valid from 11/25/2014 12:00AM ET through 11:59PM ET on December, 7, 2014.Discount only applies to purchases of at least $100 excluding tax and shipping made online at www.TigerDirect.com using PayPal to pay at checkout. Order must be placed by 11:59PM ET on December, 7, 2014. Discount automatically applied at checkout. Non-transferable. Limit one per customer. Offer subject to change without notice and may end at any time in TigerDirects sole discretion. Discount excludes purchases on gift cards, unless one or more items purchased meets or exceeds the minimum order threshold for discount to apply, without gift card purchase. "This offer cannot be combined with any other discount offers.

An MIR is not a discount offer through Tigerdirect, its through the manufacturer.  I would give it a try, add it to your cart and proceed through checkout to see what the total is.  If it works, thats $75 for a very good motherboard.

Thanks for all the help! But I'm getting a xeon, so no overclocking for me :P

It let me buy it for 100, and then I will download the rebate later. :D
