With black Friday tomorrow, it is extremely possible that I will be getting a new computer as a birthday/Christmas. Below is what I've figured is the best bang for the buck. I do some occasional gaming, and used to do a lot more, but my girlfriend has really made me want to get back into it again (shes awesome, I know :D). Quite honestly the only reason I haven't is because the system I have now can't really handle it; I actually have about five games in my steam library that I bought during sales so that I could play them once I got a better computer. The biggest decision I have to make is the video card. I am mainly just trying to decide whether or not I want to spring for dual 970s or just go with one card. I've been saving up for a 3D printer for a while (the $350 Printrbot simple if anyone was wondering) as a hobby I wanted to get into and am well past what I need to buy it, but I will be contributing towards this build so I would have to give up a lot of that saving. I want this build to last because I definitely won't be getting anything new for the next 3+ years so I'm pretty torn over whether or not to do one card and a 3D printer, or dual cards for something that will last. I know, I know, odd decision to make, and I'm pretty good with all of the intricacies of PC building so I already know the performance differences, but I am mostly just looking for some advice here: hobby vs. performance/longevity.

If your looking at possibly cutting your SSD try changing your HDD to a SSHD which is a hybrid drive basically its a standard mechanical hard drive with a small SSD inside it for caching which in turn will make your boot speeds just barely slower than an SSD as a boot drive. Here is a link to a hybrid drive its only $69.99 even though its $20 more than your current HDD it will eliminate the "NEED" for a SSD for a boot drive which will save you around $90 overall.

get rid of the SSD and use the windows 10 tech preview and you can get a 980

Not looking to cut the SSD; I need the combo for various reasons but its not really relevant. The main question is the graphics card.

I don't know if you read it, but please go by what I asked in the paragraph at the top. If you don't want to read the wall of text, start on line 3, end on 5. Thank you!
